Funny little Boy

Austin has been so much fun lately and showing off his little personality. Of course, at times he makes me feel a little crazy. But it is the moments like these that I catch that always make me smile and forget whatever argument we just had. (maybe I am the child sometimes, but Austin and I do argue- we are both so stubborn!) Here is what he has been up to...

Piling his trucks on my bed one by one to play

climbing up on the couch to nap with Daddy, who he doesn't see too much lately because our family is enduring the "busy season" for accountants.

showing me his food when I ask for a smile! Seriously, who teaches him these things?

randomly putting on his crocks with no pants, grabbing blue blankey and climbing on my bed to prop his feet up to stare at the wall...? I must be really boring.

practicing his golf swing- Daddy loves this.

and this picture has an awesome story. My good friend Chelsea is pregnant and I wanted to take a 'belly shot' of her growing little tummy. Well as I took 2 or 3 I look to my left and there is Austin, patiently waiting his turn for a belly shot. So cute!

I love my little guy!!!

Latest Obsession

I don't really consider myself a healthy person; I think chips, salsa and a Diet Coke is a perfectly great dinner! But I do have one of these every morning and just can't get enough. It was made for me for the first time on our anniversary trip at the resort and have been obsessed ever since.

It is an egg white omelet with spinach and mushrooms and a little cheese in the middle. YUM!

If this makes me look like a health freak- don't be fooled!

Austin's 2nd Birthday Party

I am finally getting around to posting pictures of my sweet little boy turning 2!! I can't believe it.
We had a race car themed party with the family this year and it turned out just perfect. I was all done with planning parties when it came time for his and it was just nice to have something more low-key.

Here is the cake that I slaved over for hours- literally. I had no idea it would take so long to make but thanks to my wonderful momma, we got it done and had a good time.

His cute little '2' shirt Cristina and I made him. I think I am going to make it a tradition for however long he lets me make his a birthday shirt...maybe 7 or 8?

His '1' shirt from his first birthday party. It's amazing how much they change in a year!

some food.... of course it was chips and queso but we also had chili and taco soup we served to everyone.

the birthday banner

it was superbowl Sunday too, so we had to have a football shaped cheeseball, right?

it funny how all the siblings end up at the same table with their spouses- I think we must love eachother.

singing Happy Birthday, he loved it.

I had practiced with him all week about his birthday song and showed him how to blow out a candle. At his party all the practicing paid off and he leaned over to blow out his candles all by himself- it was so cute.

his favorite present- the 'Cars' movie themed car set. He still says goodnight to them everynight.

Happy Birthday Austin! We love you soo much!

Had to Share

I saw this commercial about a week ago and made Nick watch it with me 3 more time, while I cried because I was laughing so hard. He said it was funnier to watch my reaction than the actual commercial...but I still think it is pretty dang funny. (remember to mute the music!)

Summer Fever

I walk through the mall and see all the new, cute summer clothes & just can't wait to start wearing the white pants/shorts, capris and super cute sandals. This year it looks like it is all about the navy, white and gray...which I am lovin'.
Picture from Banana Republic
I love this cardigan and the striped top- the pants, not so much.

Picture from Ann Taylor Loft
I think this whole outfit is just adorable. Have a mentioned that I am in love with cardigans? Can you tell?

I am really not the type of person to go out and buy super stylish clothes; I think it is just because I don't have that perfect body that can dress in anything. I like to stick to more simple basics...Cristina is nodding her head right now (cardigans go with everything!) but I will wear any stylish, bold, crazy shoe! Maybe it's because a shoe can look good on just about anyone! Here is my shoe wish list for this summer from my favorite website to shop at, Nine West.

Remember this shoe from my Christmas wish list- well Nick did get it for me but I returned it! I got 2 of the other shoes on that list for the same price! I am beginning to regret not having them....

and here is a great deal that I got today at Dillard's! Gianni Bini shoes normally $89 on sale for $26! (I always buy my shoes on sale/for a good deal, like the unfortunate Christmas return!)

So how much longer until I can wear my summer clothes.... Labor Day!?
